PVA Filament
Soft, biodegradable and highly sensitive to moisture.
PVA filament is the perfect support material for 3D printing. This is because when PVA is exposed to water it dissolves, which is why you can use it to fill cavities and hollow spaces in a model. Perfect for printing more complex shapes. After the print is finished, the PVA support filament can be easily removed with warm water, without leaving any marks.
Composition
PVA is a synthetic polymer that is created by polymerization of vinyl acetate, which is then hydrated. This creates a translucent or white material that is highly sensitive to moisture but can still serve as a filament in FDM 3D printing.
Importantly, where to store PVA?
It is important to choose a good place to store PVA. Because it reacts so quickly to water, it is important to store it under conditions as dry as possible, and at room temperature. Fortunately, the dddrop rapid one has a built-in filament dryer that ensures the filament remains of the right quality.
