What is PET-G Carbon?
PET-G Carbon has the same formula of PET-G, a glycol-modified version of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), but this version is reinforced with carbon fiber. Small fibers are added to the base PET-G material to improve its properties. Carbon fibers are extremely strong and increase the strength and stiffness of the material. The print settings hardly differ from the settings used for PET-G.
PET-G Carbon Composition
PET-G Carbon is a polymer reinforced with carbon fiber for increased strength and stiffness. The printed parts are much lighter, and more form-retaining because the carbon fibers help prevent shrinkage during cooling.
PET-G Carbon Properties
PET-G Carbon filament provides a great combination of being outstandingly strong and stiff, while maintaining a lightweight form factor.
PET-G Carbon Application
The advantages of PET-G Carbon are utilized in any application where the focus is on strength and low weight. It is ideal for remote-controlled vehicles such as drones and cars, and even the automotive industry; but also for functional prototypes with moving parts.
